Hi everyone!  

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind with doing two pop-ups with just a week in between!  I have learned so much and will continue to keep learning!  With each pop-up, I am making adjustments for the next.  Thank you for your support!  You all showed up and that means a lot to me.  I have really enjoyed seeing familiar faces and meeting new people.  Hope to see you at our April dates 1st, 2nd, 23rd, and 24th!  Have a great day!

Yasss!  We have a pop-up this weekend (4/23 and 4/24)!  For this pop-up, we are featuring Spam musubi for "Today's snack."  One of my favorites, as it's similar to gimbap and you can make different combinations with meat and veggies.  This weekend, I'll stick with the traditional rice and Spam.  I think it would be cool to have a gimbap or musubi day where people can pick what they want in their seaweed wrap!

It's been a minute!  Hope everyone is well!  Since starting the pop-up a few months ago, it's been an amazing ride.  The support and love from everyone has been huge and means so much to me--it's a constant reminder of why I wanted to started this Korean food adventure.  I must admit I do get a little emotional when people stop by after eating and say that the food is delicious.  It makes my day! Thank you!

My next pop-up will be the weekend of May 28 and May 29!  Hope to see you there!  I will be taking off the month of June, but will be back July 2 and July 3!

Hi everyone!  Our next pop-up is about a week away and I'm excited! For a limited time, I'm introducing Bibim Guksu: a cold, spicy noodle dish topped with cucumber, a hard boiled egg, and kimchi.  Although it has a kick to it, this dish is quite refreshing during hot days.  Hope you'll join us on either July 2 or July 3 to try the new dish (or one of our other ones)!  :)

The response for our summer dish, Bibim Guksu has been huge.  So good!  I plan on keeping it on the menu until the days get cooler.  Then we'll switch to some stews and soups!  YASSSS.  My favorite time of the year.  We have a few pop-ups in August and hope to see you then!  You all have been a huge support and it means a lot!  Thank you!

Wow, time has flown by and summer is nearly ending.  Bibim Guksu just had it's last pop up.  I will be going back to featuring "Today's snack."  Look forward to mandu (dumplings), kimchi bokkeumbap (kimchi fried rice), gimbap making appearances again.  Plus, I have some other snacks in mind.  When the weather gets cooler, I'd like to introduce a few Korean soups, such as kimchi jjigae, oxtail soup, or doenjung jjigae.  All of my favorites!  If you've had Korean BBQ, most likely, you've tried some of these delicious soups.

Wow, gimbap was a hit at this past pop-up weekend!  Overall, this weekend was fun and I'm so glad you all came out to get some Korean food and Chuseok sweet treats.  Yassss!

We really felt the support at our last pop-up!  We sold out at Sunday's lunch and that has never happened.  Wow!  You all have been amazing and extremely supportive to us and we can't thank you enough.   Our next pop-up will be on October 29 and October 30.  Not only is it Halloween weekend, it's soup season!  Yassss!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our last pop-up!  We introduced kimchi jjigae (soup) and it was delicious.  Looking forward to adding different soups to the menu!  Our last pop-up for the year will on November 12 and November 13.  I will not be serving our traditional menu items, but have something else planned.  Stay tuned!  You won’t want to miss it.

We are well into 2023 and it's time for a pop-up!  It's been a minute. Our next one will be March 11, 2023.  It will be just the one day (Saturday) rather than our usual Saturday/Sunday.  Because it's just the one day, we'll be open all day from 11am to 8pm.

Thank you to everyone who came to our pop-up last Saturday (March 11)!  I appreciate every single one of you and although it was very busy and I wasn't able to talk with a lot of you, please know that I was giving you an invisible high-five when you came up to pick up your food.  : )

We sold out in about three hours. *insert surprise face emoji here *add a heart emoji, too

 I know many people had to wait for food and I'm thankful for your patience and willingness to stick around.  I had this idea that I would be the only one in the kitchen during this pop-up to see how it would feel like if I were to have my own space.  It wasn't a terrible idea (ok, it really was. lol), but I know that there are things I could have done to improve the service even though I was doing the best I could.    

To those who weren't able to eat with us on Saturday: thank you for understanding.  You showing up and still smiling when hearing the news of being sold out, means a lot to me.  I hope that you'll stop by again!

Hi everyone!  The news is out!  Kimchi and Bap will have a vendor spot at the Lenexa Public Market this summer!  I'm so excited for this next part of my food journey.  This couldn't have happened without you and I'm so thankful.  THANK YOU.

Today is our official opening day at the Lenexa Public Market.  So much has happened since April.  This has been a wild ride and we're here for it.  Hope you'll stop by soon to see us because we can't wait to see you!

Happy 2024!  Wow, it's been awhile since I've hopped on here for an update! We've been busy cooking, serving, prepping and all the other good stuff that happens when opening a food stall.  In the beginning, it was overwhelming for us, but we got through and are now more prepared and have found better ways to save time and be quicker. We will always continue to learn and grow.  

It's been so cool meeting new people and seeing people who have visited us as a pop-up!   

I still have to pinch myself sometimes because I can't believe I get to do what I do.  While working at KU, I used to day dream about owning a Korean food buisness at the Lenexa Public Market.  If it wasn't for the Lenexa Public Market's mission to support small businesses, I would still be day dreaming.  I am so incredibly thankful to the City of Lenexa and to be working along side amazing merchants.  Can't wait to see what's in store for 2024!
